The work schedule for this position is:
Full Time (48 hours per week)
Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (4 weeks) of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Duties
Job holder conducts SD operations as a member of a tactical team of Surveillance Detection personnel. This includes daily operational supervision for a four members Surveillance Detection Unit (SDU). Job holder is accountable for operational Surveillance Detection (SD) equipment assigned to the SDU. Job holder directly reports to the SD Coordinator.
Qualifications And Evaluations
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one (1) year of military, police, or private experience in the field of security is required. In addition to six (6) months of supervisory experience is required.

Evaluations:
LANGUAGE: Level 2 (Limited Knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required. (This may be tested)
Level 3 (Good working Knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing Amharic is required.
- Skill and other abilities
Ability to manage the work of others in a team environment is required. Prepare oral and written reports, and operate communications SD equipment and cameras. Basic computer skills are required, to include keyboarding with accuracy and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Word and Excel. Incumbent must have a valid class 2 Ethiopian driver’s license and must have had a valid driver’s license for a minimum of five (5) years. (These may be tested)

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Addis Ababa/Ethiopia may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.
For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.
The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
